Happy Tuesday, readers!
Today’s post is kind of a special one because this time next week I’ll be in Bangkok :O I can’t really believe it yet myself. As you all know, Sarah flew to Germany in September to attend a language course and to travel around Europe. As of now, Sarah’s made her way from Germany to England, where she’ll visit London, Oxford, and York. Fun!
As for me, I’m about to embark on a 96 day trip to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and New Zealand. I’m hoping to also throw in a trip to Fiji and Indonesia – who knows where my travels will take me! Fun fact: my parents actually met in Indonesia. So random but also such a rad story to tell your kids.
Anyways, I’m making a side blog, Local Loves New Zealand, where I’ll try to document my travels overseas.
I think the thing I’m most excited about is the food in Asia. Obviously there’s a multitude of things I’m excited for, but my favourite cuisine is Asian so I’m really looking forward to that.

As for Local Loves Nanaimo, I’ve queued up enough posts to last until I get back in February. There will be a mix of new posts and old/recycled posts. Of course, Sarah will be back from her travels sometime in November/December so she’ll probably be kickin’ around the blog while I’m away!
If you want to follow Local Loves New Zealand, head here. You can also follow me on instagram or tumblr where I’ll also be posting!
Have you been to any of the places I’m traveling? Any musts-see’s?! Drop me a comment down below!
