You know that store? It’s like really cool, unlike you. Everyone has one. That one store that you always wish you could shop at because it’s so cool and they have the raddest clothes and sickest threads but you feel like too much of a noob to go in? That’s Lucid for me.

I don’t know why I feel that way – it’s actually pretty silly because the owner is like one of the nicest, funniest, welcoming store owners I’ve met while running this blog.DSC_4095When my aunt, cousin, and second cousin came to visit, they wanted to pop in to Lucid to have a look around. I took advantage of this great opportunity to hide my uncoolness behind my camera and the facade of blog runner to feel like I could be one of those people who is rad enough to shop here. DSC_4073 DSC_4074 DSC_4077 DSC_4084When I think of cool clothing (some may call it hispter – blasphemous!) in Nanaimo, Lucid is the first to spring to mind. With brands like Herschel, Native, Obey, and Brixton (to name a few) how can this store not be the epitome of cool?DSC_4078 DSC_4082 DSC_4085 DSC_4086 DSC_4088 DSC_4090 DSC_4092 DSC_4093We spent a good hour in Lucid while shopping, chatting, snapping… My second cousin Rowan decided to help some dude pick out a new tee. He was persuasive.DSC_4101In addition to rad threads, their social media game is on. point. I wanna know who Lucid pays to take their social/promotional photos because hot damn. They got skills.

Have you been to Nanaimo’s Lucid? Do you have any stores that intimidate you with their radness? Or do you just think I’m ridiculously silly for thinking that a store could be too cool for me? Give me a line in the comments below!
