Happy Monday, lovely readers!
Sarah and I had SO MUCH FUN at the We Are The City concert two weeks ago that we were itching to see another live show. Which is why, when we heard about Lovecoast‘s upcoming May 28th show at The Globe Bar & Grille, we jumped at the chance to hear more great local music.
The Globe Bar & Grille has been through a few incarnations over the last decade (The Globe, The Courts Pub…) but now it’s a Bar & Grille that is dedicated to showcasing local musicians who play their own, original jams. With that in mind, it’s not hard to see why Sarah and I are stoked to head to Lovecoast’s concert at The Globe this Thursday! Great local music at a venue dedicated to supporting our community’s musicians…?! This is our sweet spot, people.
If you don’t know much about Lovecoast, that’s ok. As always, we’ve got your back. I mean, that’s what friends are for, right? Comprised of Danielle, Jesse, Andrew and Mike, Lovecoast is a young band with an old soul. They describe their musical style as West Coast inspired Indie R&B/Soul Pop. If you’re scratching your head wondering what that sounds like, watch their music video for “Help You’ here:
This song is so catchy. I think I’ve listened to it about 27 times while writing this post. Needless to say, I’m really excited to see these guys live. Lovecoast’s shows have been described as dance driven and highly energetic – they’ve even garnered comparisons to Vancouver’s Hey Ocean! so you know this show’s going to be a good one.
I feel like this concert has a bit of something for everyone – Lovecoast’s Indie R&B/Soul Pop, Band of Rascals’ “Nuts and bolts Rock ‘n’ Roll”, and Boomshack’s infectious jazzy pop that just makes you want to dance.
If you’re looking for a solid night of fun, dance, and stellar local music, please come out and support these local acts! Best part (if it can even get any better!) is that presale tickets are only $10. TEN DOLLARS PEOPLE. That’s, like, two Starbucks coffee’s.
For full details on the Lovecoast concert, including where to buy tickets, head to the Facebook event page here! Show starts at 7:30pm – see you there!
