Moroccan Spiced Fries. Morrocan. Spiced. Fries. YES! Among other delicious, inconspicuous foods these are the holy grail of what Part & Parcel has to offer. According to my Mum and I that is. Part & Parcel in Victoria offers handcrafted cooking, with new dishes being offered daily, local ingredients and counter service it has quickly become one of my favourite places to eat in the city.
located on Quadra just off of hillside the outside of Part and Parcel in inconspicuous but once you step inside the surroundings ignited my taste buds and designer eye. With wood tables and floors, fun fabric cushions on the long bench that takes up the length of the left wall and long counter at the back of the shop with goodies all around it was a feast for my eyes. Sitting down you have your menu delivered to you, or you can go up and grab one and specials are told. Then when you’re ready you head right up to the beautfiul counter and put your order in. This night I got the roasted and raw pear, brei, walnut, date puree and greens sandwich. My mum got the fried kamut chicken, coleslaw, bread and butter pickles and bacon sandwich and my dad got the falafel, warm hummus, barley, cucumber and mint salad with preserved lemon yoghurt dish. Of course we all shared the fries as well! Oh and also cornbread, because why not!?
More deliciousness from Part and Parcel!
When it came time to finishing I was so excited to have just a simple cup of coffee to top the night off. They serve cafe Fantastico coffee, and it was pretty fantastico.
Since moving to Victoria I have been twice to Part and Parcel which frankly is not enough for my liking. I can’t wait to head back, try new things and see where the journey takes me. Thanks for reading and I hope Part and Parcel gets added to your foodie list very soon!
