I’ve been living in Victoria for over two years now and it astounds me just how little I’ve really explored this place. You KNOW that says a lot because if you follow llvi’s instagram (shameless plug) you know I get around. That’s one of the things I love most about this city, though, is that there is always a new spot to explore or a new experience to enjoy. Enter Venus Sophia Tearoom & Eatery.

I know, I know, I know
HELLO?! IS ANYONE THERE?? It’s me, Sean. I know, I know, I know, it’s been aaaages since I’ve last posted anything (don’t check when I last posted, please. It’s too embarrassing). I feel like I need to give you a quick life update before jumping back in to this whole blogging game, so here goes:
Explore | Blue Poppy Garden Gallery
Hello lovely readers!
While we were at The Bee’s Knees Café the other week we decided to stop in next door to the adjoining store Blue Poppy Garden Gallery! We were enticed by its beautiful colours and neat hanging lanterns. We already loved the shop when it was in the Old City Quarter (we even wrote a post about it here) and think that it fits perfectly nestled between The Bee’s Knees and Bliss Gowns and Events.

The Bee’s Knees! The cutest little cafe you ever did see in Nanaimo!
It took me (Sarah!) and Sean ages to come here for coffee together and we are so happy that we finally did. Other than their lovely coffee, teas and in house baked goods they have created a lovely atmosphere with plush chairs and sofas, with interesting prints and colourful walls. The walls are a cheery yellow, and there are interesting patterns everywhere (even on my latte mug!)
Sean got her tried and true London Fog and I got a latte since I am a full blown coffee addict! I also tried one of their paninis which was awesome. We sat down at a table together to enjoy our treats, tuck into our drinks and chat.
Explore | Experience Cowichan’s Teafarm
Happy Tuesday, lovely readers! Today we have a great post on the delightful Teafarm in Cowichan Valley where Sarah and I sample some superb (alliteration alert!) local tea blends and gorge on absolutely scrumptious tea desserts. You’re gonna wanna stick around for this one.
