Explore | Victoria’s Breakwater at Dusk

Hey everyone! With the end of summer comes so many activities that just make me want to jump for joy. Where you can put on your boots, wear a scarf and head out with a coffee to enjoy our beautiful landscapes and crisp fall weather. Even better you can do that with a rad friend and have a lovely walk along Victoria’s breakwater!

Well Jenna is my rad friend and we did exactly that earlier last week. We met at the breakwater in James Bay in Victoria. You have a beautiful view of the Olympic Peninsula (Washington State ) and as you get to the end of the breakwater, also of Victoria’s inner harbour. We grabbed a coffee from the cafe and bistro at the beginning of the breakwater and headed out bundled in boots and scarves. The sun was just starting to set as we were walking out and dipped its face behind the clouds, setting when we got half way down.

It was so peaceful, walking with our coffees. We chatted and dreamed and laughed and thoroughly enjoyed one of Victoria’s gems. It was a calm night and we could see people fishing in between the floating kelp.

The sun set and then it got very chilly so we were glad we had our coffees. I can definitely recommend going down to the breakwater to enjoy an evening (or daytime) walk! I think it would be a good place to go if you needed to walk and think as well. Until next time lovely readers!
